Andrew Bell

Andrew Bell is the Principal of Bell & Senior Lawyers, bringing a unique combination of legal expertise and deep technical understanding to the Gold Coast legal community. Admitted to practise in both Australia (Queensland and the High Court) and New York, Andrew offers clients a truly international perspective on technology law, commercial matters, defamation, civil litigation, and general legal services.

A Different Kind of Lawyer

What sets Andrew apart is his ability to understand both the legal and technical aspects of modern disputes and transactions. Graduating with his law degree nearly two decades ago, Andrew has built his practice on a foundation of genuine curiosity about how the world works – whether that’s understanding complex technology systems, navigating the nuances of defamation law, or resolving commercial disputes.

Before and alongside his legal practice, Andrew developed extensive experience working with large organisations designing some of the largest computer systems in Australia for nearly 25 years, giving him real-world insight into how businesses operate, how technology decisions are made, and where legal risks actually arise. This practical perspective informs everything he does for clients.

As Bell & Senior’s Principal Lawyer, Andrew is passionate about using his skills to help clients solve problems efficiently. He is currently the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of his third startup in the AI and legal technology space, reflecting his commitment to innovation and his belief that legal services should evolve with the times.

“The law exists to serve people and businesses in the real world. I’m passionate about understanding my clients’ actual challenges – whether that’s a defamation matter affecting their reputation, a commercial dispute threatening their business, or navigating how new technology intersects with their legal obligations – and finding practical solutions.”
